To provide a low temperature-meltable glass for sealing or the like which is free from a lead compound and has low solubility in water and which is capable of being ground into a fine particle with a particle diameter of ≤3 μm by wet grinding.

The low temperature-meltable glass comprises at least basic essential components of P2O5 and SnO and further contains at least one species selected from Sb2O3, V2O5, Nb2O5, and Ta2O5 in a total content of ≤10% (sum amount) as an addition component to improve water resistance.
