Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an adsorbent increased in an adsorbing amount and enabled in the maintenance of a N2 adsorbing speed, as a low temp. N2 adsorbent, by a method wherein the part of Na-A type zeolite is exchanged with Ca while Al is added thereto.

CONSTITUTION: As a low temp. N2 adsorbent, one wherein 15% or more ion exchangeable Na of Na-A type zeolite is exchanged with Ca and one wt% or more based on the wt. of Na-A type zeolite of trivalent Al is added to said zeolite is used. Thus obtained adsorbent is increased in a N2 adsorbing amount under a low temp. condition and the maintenance of a N2 adsorbing speed within a practical range is enabled.
