Title:
LOW-VOLTAGE DC/DC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05191971
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a DC/DC converter, capable of operating with a comparatively small DC power source by using a transformer wherein a feedback winding is not used. CONSTITUTION: A transformer T1 whose neutral point is connected with a DC power source, and a means 40, which alternately grounds both ends t1, t2 of a primary winding of the transformer T1, generates a current between the neutral point and conductor end portions of grounded sides of the end portions t1, t2 and generates autotransformer voltage on the winding of the non-grounded sides of the end portions t1, t2, are installed. As the means 40, voltage controlled switches Q3, Q4 constituted of FETs are connected between a ground and both end portions t1, t2, which are connected with a control input of the FET of the opposite side so that the autotransformer voltage generated on the windings of the non-grounded sides of the end portions t1, t2 is applied to control inputs of the voltage-controlling switches. A controlled means 20 which alternately grounds controlling inputs of the voltage-controlled switches Q3, Q4 is installed, in order to turn off the voltage controlled switches Q3, Q4 before saturation of the transformer.
