Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the mechanical properties of low yield point hardened steel for a spheroidal bow by specifying its chemical compsn.
CONSTITUTION: The chemical compsn. of this steel consists of, by weight, 0.002 to 0.03% C, 0.4 to 1.0% Si, 0.05 to 0.5%, Mn, ≤0.005% N and ≤10 Si/Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and it has a grading structure in which the rate of duplex grains 15 regulated to ≤20%. Thus, the low yield point steel for a spheroidal bow suitable for the use as a spheroidal bow requiring strong working can be obtd.
