To provide a lower roofing material provided between a tile or slate or metallic upper roofing material of the roof and a sheathing roof board to keep the waterproofness of the roof, in particular, a lower roofing material capable of preventing a worker from slipping even on a pitched roof formed by substrate boards having a smooth surface even when worker's weight is applied on the roof.
This lower roofing material is provided with a nonslip layer 2 capable of providing a state having high friction resistance between a rear surface of a lower roofing material main body 1 and a surface of the substrate board of the pitched roof on the rear surface of the lower roofing material main body 1 to achieve excellent nonslip property between the surface of the substrate board of the pitched roof and it. If the slip prevention layer is made of elastomer, SBS, SBR, ethylene-octene, EVA, acryl, urethane, NBR, natural rubber, and copolymer of them, the slip prevention property between the surface of the substrate board of the pitched roof and the lower roofing material of the roof can be further improved.
