Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically switch the frequencies of a clock to be generated by this LSI itself synchronously with another LSI.
SOLUTION: Respective LSIs of processors 3-5, a host-PCI bridge 6, and the other device 7 are mutually connected through a processor bus 1 and a clock control bus 2 for controlling clock frequencies. The respective LSI (3-7) are allowed to operate synchronously with the other LSI by clocks generated by the incorporated clock generating circuits CG. The respective LSI (3-7) dynamically execute the switching of the clock frequencies synchronously with the other LSI with the incorporated clock generating circuits CG targeted by using at least the clock control bus 2.
