PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition that achieves reduced intermetallic friction coefficients and fuel saving.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a lubricant composition containing a lubricant base oil, an organic molybdenum-based friction modifier, an alkaline earth metal salicylate overbased with an alkaline earth metal borate, and a zinc salt of at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of a dialkyl phosphoric acid and a dialkyl monothiophosphoric acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
