Abstract:
To provide a lubricant composition that can suppress friction while ensuring wear prevention properties, even when reduced in viscosity, the lubricant composition suitably for internal combustion engines, further suitably for supercharged gasoline engines.SOLUTION: A lubricant composition has: (A) a lubricant base oil; (B) a metal cleaner; (C) zinc dialkyldithiophosphate; (D) an ashless dispersant; (E) a copolymer having a unit derived from the following (E1) component and a unit derived from the following (E2) component, with a weight average molecular weight of 5,000-200,000, the mass ratio between the repeating unit derived from the following (E1) component and the repeating unit derived from the following (E2) component of (E1):(E2)=95:5-60:40, where (E1) is an alkyl (meth) acrylate having a C1-30 alkyl group and (E2) is a hydroxyl group-containing (meth) acrylate; and a friction modifier having molybdenum, the lubricant composition having a 100°C kinematic viscosity of 4.0 to less than 8.2 mm2/s.SELECTED DRAWING: None
