PURPOSE: To obtain a microcapsule for the control of the release of a lubricant by enclosing a core substance composed of a lubricant with a capsule wall membrane composed of urea resin, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A microcapsule having an average particle diameter of ≤500μm (preferably ≤1μm) is produced by enclosing an emulsion-type core substance composed of an emulsion dispersion medium and a lubricant with a capsule wall membrane composed of one or more kinds of resins selected from urea resin, melamine resin, polyurethane resin, gelatin, albumen, albumin, polyester and PVA. The microcapsule has uniform shape and uniform and prescribed thickness of the wall membrane. It can be produced in high yield without causing coagulation by a simple and economical process having high reliability and reproducibility.
