Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant having excellent hydrolytic stability even in severe working condition and usable in wide field.
SOLUTION: The lubricant (except a refrigerator lubricant containing an alicyclic polycarboxylate represented by general formula [I]) contains one or more alicyclic polycarboxylate represented by general formula [I] (wherein, A is cyclohexane ring or cyclohexene ring; R1 is H or methyl; X is H or COOR4; Y is H or COOR5; R2, R3, R4 and R5 may be the same as or different from each other and are a 3-18C branched alkyl, a 3-10C cycloalkyl, a 1-18C straight chain alkyl or a 2-18C straight chain alkenyl).
