Abstract:
To provide additives for drive lines with low sulfur content and low phosphite content and lubricants thereof.SOLUTION: The lubricant compositions contain base oils, wherein principal parts of the base oils are selected from API group I, II, III, IV, V, and blends thereof, and, based on the total weight of the lubricant compositions, a total of 0.001-0.536 wt.% of specified monohydrocarbyl-substituted dimercaptothiadiazole derivative and less than 0.1 wt.% of phosphites are contained. The lubricant compositions used for lubrication of drive lines, transmissions including manual or automatic transmissions, gears, automatic gears, or shafts, and enhancement of and FZG testing performances is disclosed herein. Moreover, a method for preparation of the lubricant compositions is disclosed herein.SELECTED DRAWING: None
