Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit sufficient lubrication to be secured by keeping the driving gear and the driven gear of an oil pump to be immersed at all times in the lubricating oil discharged from the oil pump. CONSTITUTION:A gear chamber 22 is formed on the periphery of the lower edge part of a crank shaft 13, and a driving gear 23 is fixed onto the crank shaft 13. On the other hand, an oil pum 24 is fixed in the front lower part of a cylinder block 11 through an installation part 25, and a driven gear 27 arranged in the gear chamber 22 is connected to a driving part 26. The driving gear 23 and the driven gear 27 are engaged with each other in the gear chamber 22 to form the driving part for the oil pump 24. The gear chamber 22 is filled with the lubricating oil discharged from the fourth discharge port 36 of the oil pump 24, and the driving gear 23 and the driven gear 27are always kept in the immersed state for lubrication.
