Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject coating compsn. showing lubricity at the time of contact with body fluids and suitable for coating a surface compatible with a living body by compounding a hydrophilic polymer, a diisocyanate and an elastomer segment hydrophilic polyether urethane.

CONSTITUTION: The objective compsn. contains a compd. consisting of a hydrophilic polymer (A) such as polyhydroxyethylene methacrylate or polyacrylic acid, a diisocyanate (B) and an elastomer segment hydrophilic polyether urethane (C) being a reaction product of a hydrophilic polyether glycol and a chain extender and, if necessary, contains an antibacterial agent or a fluidizing aid (D).
