Abstract:
To provide a lubricating composition excellently handling soot, adjusting friction and viscosity, preventing oxidation, and achieving improved engine performance and cleanliness.
The lubricating composition includes 5-50 wt.% of an ester of a ≤30C carboxylic acid and an alcohol. The molecular weight of the ester ranges from 400 to 5,000. The ester is used as a component of the lubricating composition for a crank chamber so that particulate combustion materials inside the crank chamber are kept floating by the ester.
