To lubricate a bearing of a gear box by an autonomous and substantially independent method for lubricating the box in order to eliminate the problem of contamination from a lubricant for box and optimize lubricating of the bearing according to restrictions in operation of the bearing.

In the method for lubricating a torque transmission device, the device includes an area in which at least one torque transmission part and at least one rolling bearing for guiding rotation of the transmission part are arranged, and the bearing includes a fixed part 1 and a rotary part 2, the fixed part 1 and the rotary part 2 forming a bearing area 4 in which a rotator 3 is disposed for enabling relative rotation of these parts. The method comprises supplying a lubricant for the torque transmission device into the area, and providing a porous polymer matrix 5 sealing the lubricant for operation of the bearing in the bearing area 4, the porous matrix being provided in contact with the rotator 3 on a partial outer circumference thereof.
