To provide a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine having excellent performance in prevention of high temperature deposit (performance in prevention of TEOST deposit) without spoiling low fuel consumption performance which is required to deal with energy and environmental problems.
The lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine comprises a lubricating oil component as base oil having kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 2-13 cSt and containing 1-20 wt.% of a heavy component having a boiling point of 480°C or higher and 27.3-49.5 wt.% of a heavy component having a boiling point of 430°C or higher in a boiling point range measured by gas chromatograph distillation. The composition contains an organomolybdenum-based compound as a friction modifier, and calcium sulfonate and/or calcium salicylate.
