To provide a lubricating oil composition for a machine tool and metallic working which has a well balanced high flash point and extreme-pressure performance.SOLUTION: A lubricating oil composition for a machine tool and metallic working comprises: (A) a lubricating oil base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 18 mm2/s or more and 40 mm2/s or less; and (B) sulfurized ester. 25 mass% or more of the component (A) is a group III base oil.SELECTED DRAWING: None
