Abstract:

To provide a lubricant oil composition exhibiting extremely low friction coefficient when used as a lubricant oil for a low friction sliding material; to provide a sliding mechanism with excellent low friction by combining sliding members having a particular coating film for a low friction sliding material on the sliding surface using the same.

The lubricant oil composition used for a low friction sliding material is obtained by compounding an additive selected from a particular phosphorus-zinc-containing compound and a particular sulfur-containing compound. The sliding mechanism includes two mutually sliding members with the lubricant oil composition interposed between their sliding surfaces; wherein at least one of the two sliding members has a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating film formed on its sliding surface, the DLC coating film containing 5-50 atom% of hydrogen.
