Abstract:

To provide a lubricating oil composition which can improve a lubricating performance in a diesel engine installed with an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) equipment.

In the lubricating oil composition containing about less than 0.3 mass% of a sulfur content, the composition comprises (a) a large quantity of an oil having a lubricating viscosity, (b) a dispersant in which a nitrogen-containing dispersant is about ≤3.5 mmol of basic nitrogen per 100 g of the composition, and ≥50 mass% of a total amount of dispersant nitrogen are non-basic, and (c) a cleaning agent which comprises a little of at least one kind of a neutral and/or a perbasic metal-containing cleaning agent, and in which about 60-100% of a total amount of a cleaning agent surfactant are a fenate and/or a salicylate.
