Title:
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3726336
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition which is applicable to a refrigerator oil for non-chlorine refrigerants and having increased anti-seizing effect by mixing a lubricating oil with an iodine compound and an epoxy compound.
SOLUTION: This composition comprises a refrigerator oil comprising a synthetic oil (e.g. polyalkylene glycol synthetic oil or ester synthetic oil) having good compatibility with a non-chlorine refrigerant, being uniformly dissolved in a liquid refrigerant and being stably dispersed in the form of mists in a refrigerant gas, 0.1-10wt.% iodine compound being an iodide of a 1-8C linear aliphatic hydrocarbon, a branched aliphatic hydrocarbon, an alicyclic hydrocarbon or an aromatic hydrocarbon 0.5-10wt.% epoxy compound (e.g. epoxy hydrocarbon or epoxy fatty acid ester) which traps molecules of the synthetic oil oxidized under high-temperature conditions and iodine liberated from the iodine compound to prevent metal corrosion and the deterioration of plastic or rubber components. This composition is entrained on the refrigerant gas in the refrigeration cycle and therefore can be stably supplied to e.g. the sliding part of a compressor.
