Abstract:
A lubricating oil composition which comprises a base oil comprising a mineral oil, a synthetic oil or a mixture thereof and incorporated therein, (A) a nitrogen−containing compound represented by the general formula (1) in an amount of 0.15 to 5.0 mass % and (B) a phosphorus compound represented by the general formula (2) or (3) and/or a salt thereof in a concentration of a phosphorus element of 50 to 800 mass ppm, both amounts being based on the total amount of the composition. The lubricating oil composition is excellent in the stability to oxidation at a high temperature and abrasion preventing property and further in pitting preventing property, and exhibits a prolonged useful life.
