Title:
LUBRICATING OIL COOLING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS54140033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject system wherein an oil cooler is interposed in an oil relief passage, whereby it is unnecessary to fabricate the oil cooler into a structure capable of withstanding the high tension. CONSTITUTION:An oil cooler 8 is provided in a relief passage 6 exhausting lubricating oil in an oil pan 1. In general, it is essentially the time of climbing slope or the time where the engine is rotating at high speeds that the increase in the oil temperature in an automobile engine comes into question. Upon this occasion, the relief quantity of lubricating oil flowing through a relief valve 7 to the relief passage 6 increases, and the relief quantity is cooled by an oil cooler 8. Accordingly, the full part of lubricating oil is effectively cooled.
