Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lubricating oil for a fluid dynamic pressure bearing, which satisfies a viscosity range where a fluid dynamic pressure bearing can sufficiently support load of a rotor at high temperature range and which has suppressed viscosity increase at low temperature range, further has little evaporation loss amount at high temperature range and is stable.SOLUTION: The lubricating oil for a fluid dynamic pressure bearing is provided that contains as a base oil, a monoester oil containing no unsaturated bond and has an absolute viscosity at 100°C of 2.0 to 3.0 mPa s, a viscosity index of 130 or more and a pour point of -20°C or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
