To provide a luggage storing device for a motorcycle capable of more preventing a backrest part 15 from being illegally opened by a third party at low cost with a simple configuration.

A releasing unit 55 for releasing the regulation of a closed state of a backrest part 15 is provided inside a luggage box 8 at the position covered by an opening/closing seat 5 in a closed state. By closing the opening/closing seat 5, the releasing unit 55 is hidden to give an impression to the third party as if any releasing unit is not provided, and thus, to more prevent the backrest part 15 from being illegally opened by the third party. A simple configuration can be realized because no locking means is provided, and the cost can be reduced.
