PURPOSE: To provide a luminaire capable of lighting widely or narrowly in a specific direction even by the same light source by arranging a light distribution plate, having anisotropism at an specific angle in a light refraction characteristic, in the front of the light source, and providing directivity in light radiated from the light source.
CONSTITUTION: A light source 2 of electric lamp or the like is mounted in a casing 4 by a lighting fixture 3, and a light distribution plate 10, having 90° anisotropic in a light refraction characteristic, is arranged in the lighting part front of the casing 4 to manufacture a luminaire 1 provided with directivity. Thus in a lighting range by the luminaire 1, the lighting range is spread as shown by (w) relating to a floor surface 6 in a predetermined one axial direction, and on the other hand in the case of viewing from a side surface in a direction orthogonal to this floor surface, the lighting range is reversely narrowed as shown by (n). Accordingly, lighting can be obtained by distributing light, radiated from the light source 2, at a large spread angle and at a narrow spread angle in a specific direction.
