Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of precluding generation of a steep change in temperature in an amalgam part by an air flow even if the luminaire is furnished with a fluorescent lamp of amalgam type.
SOLUTION: The luminaire comprising the fluorescent lamp 1 furnished at its base 1b with an amalgam part 5, a reflecting plate 2 installed surrounding the lamp part 1a of the lamp 1 is equipped with a rate-of-flow reducing means to reduce the rate of flow of the air A flowing around the amalgam part 5 of the fluorescent lamp 1. The rate-of-flow reducing means is formed from a lamp base cover 7 installed in such a condition as approximately blocking the gap between the inner end face of the lamp base 1b and the peripheral edge of a lamp inserting hole 3, an air passage arranged around the lamp base 1b and socket 4, a bent part of the air passage, etc.
