PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescent floating ball capable of uniformly radiating light from the whole body of a hollow spheroid, and when a vessel with a lid is positioned at the upper part of the hollow spheroid and the hollow spheroid is floated on a water surface or a sea surface, hardly having a possibility of being flooded because the screwed part is positioned above the water surface or the sea surface.
SOLUTION: This luminescent floating ball comprises a hollow spheroid 1 composed of a transparent or translucent material, having inner surface 1a having a mat-finished surface, a weight 2 fixed at the bottom part of the vertical axis of the hollow spheroid 1, and a vessel 3 with a lid detachably installed by screwing the vessel in the hollow spheroid from the upper side of the vertical axis of the hollow spheroid 1 so as to be watertight. The hollow spheroid 1 can also have the vessel 5 with the lid detachably installed by screwing the vessel 5 in the hollow spheroid 1 from the lower side of the hollow spheroid 1 so as to be watertight without the weight 2. Lighting fixtures A and an electric source B are installed in the interior of the vessel 3 or 5. When the lighting fixtures A are light emitting diodes, the plural light emitting diodes are arranged at the nearest position to the vertical axis and the inner surface of the hollow spheroid 1 around the outer periphery of an electric source room so that the each light may irradiate the equatorial plane of hollow spheroid 1.
