Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescent handrail device which is visually recognized easily in a dark place, attached easily upon construction, and is applicable also to a wooden handrail.
SOLUTION: The luminescent handrail device comprises a handrail member 11 having a luminous body 15 laid in a recessed groove 17 formed in the longitudinal direction of the handrail, and an end bracket 12 fitted to the end of the handrail member 11. A human detecting sensor 14 or a light sensor for making the luminous body 15 emit light is provided on the end bracket 12 or the handrail member 11, and an electrical circuit and an electrical source for driving the human detecting sensor 14 or the light sensor are housed in the end bracket 12 and/or the handrail member 11.
