To provide a method for producing n-propyl acetate, which method uses a raw material liquid including an allyl acetate liquid, performs hydrogenation reaction by using a hydrogenation catalyst, produces n-propyl acetate with high quality, and suppresses the lowering of quality of the product due to the temporal lowering of inversion rate of a substrate (allyl acetate).
The method for producing n-propyl acetate at least includes a process for obtaining a hydrogenation reaction product including n-propyl acetate by reacting a raw material liquid including allyl acetate with a hydrogen-including gas including hydrogen in the pressure of 1.0 MPa (G) or higher in order to hydrogenate the allyl acetate; a gas-liquid separation process for obtaining a crude n-propyl acetate liquid including n-propyl acetate by performing gas-liquid separation of the hydrogenation product; and a secondary hydrogenation process for hydrogenating unreacted allyl acetate included in the crude n-propyl acetate liquid.
