Abstract:

To provide an expression system for co-expressing multiple human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) antigens to stimulate potent humoral and cellular immune responses against HCMV infection.SOLUTION: The expression system may include a vector in which multiple nucleic acid sequences are inserted that encode multiple subunits of HCMV antigens linked by one or more linking sequences such that subunits are co-expressed simultaneously. Also disclosed are vaccine compositions comprising the expression system or the vector, and methods of preventing or treating HCMV infection using the vaccine compositions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
