Abstract:
To improve in flexibility in phase-positioning a gear-shaped work.SOLUTION: A machine tool 100 includes a main shaft 1, a work phase-determining member 7, a first drive portion 35 and a second drive portion 37, and a phase setting portion 57. The main shaft 1 supports the work W, and rotates the work W about an axis. The work phase-determining member 7 has a second gear G2 engageable with a first gear G1 formed on an outer peripheral of the work W. The first drive portion 35 and the second drive portion 37 move the work phase-determining member 7 in a tangential direction of a cross-section of the work W supported by the main shaft 1. The phase setting portion 57 controls the first drive portion 35 and the second drive portion 37 to engage the first gear G1 of the work W and the second gar G2 of the work phase-determining member 7, and then move the work phase-determining member 7 in the tangential direction until the engagement of the first gear G1 and the second gear G2 is released, thereby phase-determining in a rotating direction of the work W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
