Abstract:
The apparatus comprises a separate frame (12) fixed onto a base of a frame of the machine, or onto a foundation of the machine, and the mass (4, 5) is suspended by means of a balancing device (6-11, 13, 14) on the said separate frame. The balancing device includes a counter-weight (6) connected e.g. by a cable (9), guided on pulleys (7, 8), to the mass. The balancing device may be seated displaceably on the separate frame. At least one of the pulleys may be carried by a shaft (10, 11) along which it is displaceable.
