Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a tick extermination performance and a raising performance of carpet pile by providing a slide part provided with magnets at prescribed intervals and supported freely vertically movably, guide part having a magneto-resistance element for detecting a positions of magnet, display part for receiving and displaying a signal of a magneto-resistance element, and a sled having a position adjusting means. CONSTITUTION: A contact face 7d of a slide part 7 with a carpet always touches the surface of the carpet and vertically moves corresponding to the state of the carpet. Corresponding to the vertical move of this slide part 7, magnets 7a and 7b provided at the prescribed interval at this slide part are vertically moved. The movement of these magnets 7a and 7b is detected by a magneto- resistance element 8a provided at a guide part 8, and LED 11a and 11b are turned on or off. Therefore, a user can keep a distance (h) between a steam spout port 4a and carpet pile 10 at a proper value by setting the distance between a sled 6 and a main body 1 while controlling the forward and backward rotations of a miniaturized motor 12 of the position adjusting means so as not to turn on both these two LED 11a and 11b.
