Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine vice with a centering adjustment mechanism for effectively imparting the center position adjustment function for a work to a vice body while maintaining a compact structure.SOLUTION: A machine vice 10 is a both-fastening type vice for holding a work between two movable jaws 16L and 16R which are moved close to and away from each other by a spindle 14 housed and held in a space formed in the longitudinal direction of a vice body 12. The machine vice 10 has a centering adjustment function by including a spindle holder 18 installed on the vice body 12 at a fixed position and supporting the spindle 14, a pair of centering adjustment nuts 20L and 20R engaged with the spindle 14 by threading and positioned so as to sandwich the spindle holder 18 from both of left and right sides, and nut fixation means for fixing a position of the centering adjustment nuts 20L and 20R relative to the spindle 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
