To enable stains of the wash to be sufficiently removed without damages to the wash easily affected by heat by supplying a hot and humid gas inside a washing tub.
At washing, air inside a drum (the washing tub) 9 is circulated by an air circulating device 37 to be heated by a condenser 39 of a heat pump 42 on the way, getting hot. At that time, spraying water onto the outer surface of the condenser 39 promotes water vaporization. Thereby passing of circulating air therethrough humidifies itself, supplying the hot and humid air inside the drum 9. Circulation of the air inside the drum 9 and water spray onto the condenser 39 generate the hot and humid air in this way. Because a temperature of the air depends on that of the condenser 39, it is lower than that of steam generated by heating water to boil it. Thereby providing the wash with heat having an appropriate temperature allows the stains of the wash to be sufficiently removed without the damages to the wash easily affected by heat.
