The washing/drying machine comprises: a blowing means 30 for blowing drying air into a rotary drum 3; a circulation air pathway 29 for circulating the drying air blown by the blowing means 30 within the rotary drum 3; a heating means 31 for heating the drying air; a radiation part 12 for radiating the heat from the drive motor 8 into the drying air; a movable means 16 for actuating the radiation part 12 so as to freely move forward and backward relative to the drive motor 8; and a control means 28 for sequentially controlling each step of washing, rinsing, dewatering and drying. During the dewatering step, the control means 28 moves the radiation part 12 away from the drive motor 8 using the movable means 16. During the drying step, the control means 28 brings the radiation part 12 into contact with the drive motor 8 using the movable means 16 to radiate the heat from the drive motor 8 into the drying air through the radiation part 12.
