PURPOSE: To perform a process ranging from shape machining to finish machining through a single machine tool by a method wherein, in machining of the shape of a work by means of various tools, the occurrence of interference is computed by using data of conical shape interference model and shape data of a work to perform control of a posture.
CONSTITUTION: By using an NC machine tool 1 controllable of 6 axes consisting of X-axis-Z-axis and A-axis-C-axis, work shape data on a rough machined surface stored at a work shape memory part 3, data on the tool route of a ball end mill stored at a tool route data memory part 5, and conical shape interference model data stored at an interference model data memory part 7 are respectively read in an interference computing part 9. Machining of the shape of a work by means of the ball end mill is performed through control of a relative posture as interference between the tool and the work is chcked.
