Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically calculate the maximum number of allocated characters or the sizes of characters by using a character allocation arithmetic means to have the input of character sizes and the total number of input characters against a header area. CONSTITUTION:A layout data display screen is displayed on a display device with input of a call command for layout data display screen. Then the diagonal coordinates are indicated by a pointing device 4b to secure a header area 25 after a certain waiting time. Then the area 25 is fixed on the device 3. It is decided whether an input mode is equal to a series-priority mode or not with input of designation for a mode of a header original. If so, a character allocation arithmetic means 1c calculates the maximum number of characters to be allocated based on the area 25 and displays it. Then the header is displayed based on said allocation of characters after the input of the header original through a word processor WP. Then a hard copy 10 is produced.
