Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance both saturation magnetization and coersive force by using a ferrite having a hexagonal structure represented by specified SrO, lanthanum- oxide, iron-sesquioxide, titanium-oxide, ZrO, CoO as a main phase.
SOLUTION: Powders of SrCO3 and of Fe2O3 are mixed, wherein La2O3, TiO2, ZrO and CoO or the likes are added to the material powder. The mixed material powder is heated at a temperature of 1100-1450°C to obtain a ferrite compound (calcine) by a solid phase reaction. This calcined body represented by (1-x)SrO.(x/2)La2O3.(n-y/2-y/2-y")Fe2O3.yTiO2.y'ZnO.y"CoO, (x,y,y' and y" are mol ratios; 0.1≤x≤0.3, 0.01≤y≤0.3, 0≤y'≤0.3, 0.1≤y"≤0.4, 5.5≤n≤6.5), has a hexagonal structure of a magnetoplumbite ferrite as a main phase. Magnet powder is obtained by pulverizing the calcined body.
