Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten access time for a boot loop by controlling so that the number of bits from the top of defective loop information to a replicator can be an even number. CONSTITUTION:The number of the shift bits of the data of each loop is increased for 1 bit with a device bit number identifying signal to indicate whether the number M of the bits of a minor loop and the boot loop is even or odd, a stop bit number identifying signal to indicate whether the number n0 of bits from the replicator of the boot loop to the stop position of the top of the defective loop information is even or odd, a shift bit number identifying signal to indicate whether the number n2 of bits from the data of the minor loop to the replicator is even or odd, and a comparing signal to indicate whether the relation between the number N of bits, which is the sum of the numbers n0 and n2 of bits, and the number M of bits is N=M when the device bit number identifying signal is at an even number state, and the shift bit number identifying signal is at an odd number state, or, when the device bit number identifying signal is at the odd number state, the comparing signal is N=M, and the shift bit number identifying signal is at the odd state. Thus, the access time to the boot loop can be shortened.
