PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic card constituted by forming a thin metal vapor deposition layer composed of aluminum or tin on the upper surface of the magnetic recording layer formed on a part or entire surface of a base material and laminating a protective layer composed of a resin on the upper surface of the metal vapor deposition layer and forming a printing layer on the surface of the base material on the rear surface side of the magnetic recording layer and to display a message such as a character or a picture using a card reader for the magnetic card.

CONSTITUTION: A message printing layer 6 is formed between a magnetic recording layer 2 and a metal vapor deposition layer 4 and a part or entire surface of the metal vapor deposition layer during or after the use of a magnetic card is removed by discharge or heat breakdown to display a color message on the surface covered with the metal vapor deposition layer.
