Title:
MAGNETIC COLOR TONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59226357
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable formation of red, yellow, purple, and sepia colored sharp images free from fog and superior in light resistance by incorporating γ-Fe2O3 treated with aziridine as an essential component in a magnetic material.

CONSTITUTION: A toner contains as a magnetic material, γ-Fe2O3 treated with one of aziridines. For example, γ-Fe2O3 is suspended in water and polyethylene imine, etc. added to the suspension and after stirring, filtering and drying, the treated material is disintegrated with a pulverizer and a binder resin and other additives are added to obtain a toner. The magnetic toner thus obtained is good in dispersibility of the magnetic powder, superior in impact resistance, fluidity, and durability, especially excellent in transferability in high humidity, and good and stable in triboelectrification. As a result, a sharp color image of red, yellow, purple, or sepia color type not causing fog and discoloration and fading for a long term can be obtained.
