PURPOSE: To keep stably head sliding state by providing a plate spring pressing a head carriage in a direction to be controlled to a magnetic disc so as to hold properly a position relation between the magnetic head and a stabilizing plate.

CONSTITUTION: The magnetic head 6 is fixed to a cut and rise part 9d of a head carriage 9 and provided movably in radial direction. Three plate springs 11aW 11c screwed to a chassis 11 is provided to a lower side face of the L-shaped carriage 9, a spring pressure is given to the carriage 9 via steel balls 13aW13c to press the head 6 to be closed to the stabilizing plate 7. Even is the head tip wears, the position relation between the head 6 and the stabilizing plate 7 is kept properly and the stable head sliding state is kept.
