Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the assured recording in a prescribed pitch by providing a reproduction head for tracking detection at the one track ahead position and applying the tracking servo to a recording head with the output of the reproduction head. CONSTITUTION:The revolving speed is decided for a spindle motor 9 which drives a disk 1 only when the recording is carried out with a signal track on the most inside circumference. In this case, the synchronizing signal is recorded concurrently to said signal track. On the next circumference, said synchronizing signal is detected by a reproduction head 7 and the recording is carried out with said circumference by a recording head 8. Hereafter the same operations are repeated successively to perform recording over the entire track region. Then the motor 9 which drives the disk 1 is controlled by a control circuit 13 based on the synchronizing signal which is detected out of the preceding track by the head 7 in a record mode so that the synchronizing signal has a time interval equal to the prescribed value. Thus it is possible to record the relative speed between a head and a disk in a fixed state.
