To provide a magnetic driving type axial flow pump, which is easy to manufacture and is very suitable for a blood pump.
The magnetic driving type axial flow pump comprises: an electromagnetic unit 1 arranged on an outer peripheral surface of a pipe P; a cylindrical rotor 5 disposed inside the pipe P; a permanent magnet 6 attached to an outer peripheral surface of the rotor 5; a spiral blade 7 formed at an inner peripheral surface of the rotor 5. A cavity is formed at the center of a shaft of the blade 7. The rotor 5 and the blade 7 are cut out by an NC machine together as an integrated member so as to eliminate a gap at the connecting portion of the rotor 5 and the blade 7, resulting in facilitating the manufacture. There are no gap in the connecting structure of the two members, and there are no member brought into contact with fluid at the center of the blade. Therefore, the magnetic driving type axial flow pump is excellent for a blood pump, because bacterial contamination, clot formation, or breakage of blood structure are prevented.
