Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a stable output of measurement by employing a magnetic scale formed by coating a thin, flat and flexible nonmagnetic carrier with a magnetic layer.
CONSTITUTION: Graduation detection signals of a fixed level can be generated by making a magnetic scale 1 be in continuous contact with a magnetic sensor 2 regardless of axial vibration due to the rotation of the periphery of scale holders 4 and 4a.
