PURPOSE: To obtain the magnetic field correcting device using a magnetic material shim element which does not necessitate a joining work by executing punching to a desired shape by a die press from a shim material plate of a magnetic material, and manufacturing the magnetic material shim element.
CONSTITUTION: A material plate of a magnetic material shim, for instance, a thin iron plate is subjected to punching to a desired shape and a magnetic material shim element 16 is manufactured. As for the magnetic material shim element 16, its length l1, l2 is determined so as to form an end face angle in a YZ plane. Also, its magnetic material width is determined so that an area ratio of end faces l7, 18 and an area ratio of end faces 19, 20 become 7.16. Moreover, a non-magnetic tube 5 into which a uniformity correction magnetic material shim element 16 is inserted and fixed is attached to eight parts, and the magnetic material shim element 16 is inserted and fixed into the non- magnetic tube 5.
