Abstract:

To provide a magnetic field generating source provided with a magnetic field adjusting device which overcomes the drawbacks of the prior art, and to provide a magnetic field generating device and an MRI apparatus.

The present invention relates to the magnetic field generating source provided with the magnetic field adjusting device, such as may be used in the MRI apparatus. The magnetic field adjusting device includes adjusting bars (71, 81) of a soft magnetic material mounted at the periphery of the magnetic field generating source (5, 51), the adjusting bars are movable in a direction substantially parallel to a magnetic field produced by the magnetic field generating source, and the resulting magnetic field is adjusted by the position of the bars.
