Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the contact state of a head definite irrespective of the position of the head and to obtain a good recording and replay characteristic by a method wherein the head is installed inside a wing-shaped slit so as to be capable of being slid and moved and a slider string length is expanded to the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:In a slider 4 in which a slender slit 7 used to move a magnetic head 1 to the radial direction of a flexible magnetic disk 3, its cross section in a direction perpendicular to the movement direction of the magnetic head 1 is formed to be a wing shape. The string length of the slider 4 is formed so as to be expanded along a direction in which the diameter of the magnetic disk 3 is increased; its curved-surface side is arranged so as to be faced with the disk face of the magnetic disk 3. Thereby, when the magnetic disk 3 is turned at high speed, a strong negative pressure is generated in the part of the magnetic head. When the string length is increased, the negative pressure is made uniform along the radial direction of the magnetic head 3. As a result, the contact state of the head is made nearly definite irrespective of the position of the head.
