Abstract:
PURPOSE:To load/unload a magnetic head with low power consumption by providing an eccentric cam operated by a pressure generated by the rotation of a medium as a power source. CONSTITUTION:The eccentric cam 6 is positioned in the vicinity of the medium 2, and is combined with a spring 8 and a piston 7. Moreover, the piston 7 is combined through a tube 9 with the vicinity of a shaft base part of a spindle motor 3. Thus, the piston 7 is operated by the pressure generated by the rotation of the medium 2, so that the eccentric cam 6 is rotated to move a suspension 4 up and down. By this method, the loading/unloading of the magnetic head can be realized with low power consumption.
